Discretion is important. The 48-h auction platform only trades under user code. After the auction has ended, name and address are automatically exchanged by/to buyer and seller.
To deal on 48-h you first have to register. 48-h submits to a full confidentiality obligation towards all participants. Only in the case of fraud and criminal activities will 48-h cooperate with the judicial authorities (see our Privacy Policy)
The use of the 48-h platform requires participation in the 48-h rating system. Together with our screening system, this is the basis for safe trading at 48-h.
The rule is, rate within 10 days after settlement, after that you will receive a memory notification. Rating is so important to 48-h that failure to provide ratings will result in suspension from further trading at 48-h.
If not giving a rating has led to a suspension, which can be canceled within 28 days after the suspension by giving a subsequent rating. If this is not done,the account will be frozen. Regaining access is possible by a donation of USD 1.00, which amount will fully benefit the maintenance of the website 48-h. This manually admission follows within 24 hours after the donation has been made.
After the second negative rating within 3 months, a user will be automatically suspended. The first suspension lasts three months, after which the user is automatically admitted. After the second suspension, the user can only be admitted again after research and approval of 48-h.

Should a problem that cannot be resolved by both parties arise, free mediation may be requested from the 48-h Resolution Center. The Resolution Centers decision is binding on both parties.
Alerts aren not only convenient, for all users also the most effective tool to save time and to get the greatest attention. No waste of time. Buyers who are looking for a specific item, can fully rely on the 48-h alert-system.
To apply for an alert for most items is filling out the application-questionnaire. Stamps however are special and is using more than one Catalog indication better for an optimal alertness.
Worldwide for stamps are used 4 catalogues Michel, Scott, Yvert and StanleyGibbons. Because these catalogues use different cat.nr. for the same stamp, it would be wise, to mention the equivalent cat.numbers from the other catalogues as well, to gain optimal alertness
During 90 days you will be notified by an alert if such an item appears on the auction. Extension of the alert for another 90 days can be achieved with a simple click. Always pay attention to the lighting green indicator on the toolbar.
The seller determines for which auction his item will be auctioned. 48-h recommends using low or realistic opening prices to promote bidding. Opening prices that are too high can be rejected by 48-h.
Auction applications for items must be submitted at least 48 hours before the start of the auction, as each application must be reviewed and approved by 48-h.
Once the entry has been approved, it will appear in the desired auction list for that date. If there are alert requests, the alerts will be sent at the same time as the auction list appears.
Once an item appears in the bid list, the item cannot be withdrawn by the seller. Unsold items are automatically forwarded to the auction after the next auction (24 hours later), unless the seller has indicated that they will withdraw the item if it does not sell.
By participating in the auction, the user agrees to the delivery and purchase obligation as described in Terms & Conditions. Failure to comply with this obligation will result in suspension and dispute.

To share costs fairly, the seller is not allowed to calculate the packaging costs. The costs of shipping are for the buyer. Therefore it’s the buyer who determines how the acquired item will be shipped, regular, registered or by private courier. 48-h advises not to use regular mail for transactions above US$20. Track & Trace service is always very helpful.
Seller and buyer should first contact to agree on this after the auction via 48-h. For the execution of the transaction, it is recommended that both take the video about safe shipping to heart.
